Same Door: The idea behind same door, is that information we should focus only on information that is both timely and important. The door only reports new weather situations, and never bothers with the status quo. If its just as cold today as it was yesterday, most likely, all the warm clothes are out, and I am expecting cold weather already. There is no reason to tell me anything about the weather. If however the weather is significantly warmer, I want a rather obvious indication of this, just as I am leaving the house, so I can decide to leave my big jacket at home, and bring only a lighter coat. Because much of the time the door will be 'silent', in its off hours it can function as a simple image display device, as in a digital image gallery.
