MAS.964: calm clock
problem set #4
mar 9th 2004
Calm Clock is a simple old fashion analog alarm clock, equipt with an 802.11 card.
The main objective of the calm clock is to take into account changing factors such as the weather when deciding
when to wake a person up. Because everyone has different reactions to weather changes, traffic conditions, etc.,
the clock can be fine tuned via a web browser. For instance, if its snowing out, or sleeting, I might elect to skip
waking up all together. I could tell the clock not to bother waking me if its unpleasant outside. On the other hand,
if I also have a serious appointment, the clock may choose to wake me up even earlier than expected, in order to give
me time to shovel the walk way, and locate the appropriate clothing.
